I cant wait until my birthday for an iPhone 4S?

So 1st off I had an iPod touch and it broke in half yesterday when it fell off our roof. My mom said I was handling it well, and I will get the iPhone 4S for my birthday, but I was horrified. All I wanted was my iPod! I almost never use my phone, because an iTouch has text, facetime, instagram, twitter, and many more things! My phone is terrible, its a flip phone that has almost no service anywhere. Whenever I ask her, she says I was ingrateful about my phone ($14)!! How can I wait for my birthday! I have no way of socializing other than in person.
My birthday is May 29th by the way, no mean answers!
