The most direct route with any hope of progression is with the relevant degree.

The uni debt sounds a lot but it is not. You do not have to pay it back until you are earning about 18,000 a year and then it is only £50 a month.
My daughter is earning £30,000 a year and it is only now that she is paying back £100 a month.

Overall it is peanuts in terms of a good future and if you never earn that amount the debt goes after so many years. Rethink this approach if you want to achieve this particular dream.
