Restored router to factory default now internet is slower?

Plug in the Modem into the Router port (ethernet) and then plug in your COMPUTER (WIRED) into your the Belkin N300. From there make sure the internet is connected (Wired) on the computer and...

Go to START > type: CMD (hit enter) > type: ipconfig (hit enter)
Look for Default Gateway, it should be like 192.168.1.1 or 0.1 or something like that. Now type that number into the internet search bar (Where you would type http://www.facebook.com) Try: 192.168.2.1

Now your inside the Wireless Router, Your password is either password or just hit submit. if your love ones didn't set one up last time.

I suggest you make your own password (your cellphone number is a good one as well). Once in your inside the router go to WIRELESS and make sure your Security Mode is WEP for 2.4GHz and 5GHz. From there your KEY(password) is what the internet password is going to be.
