Helpp! my internet connection is dropping and coming back :(?

If you have a wireless connection, and there is anyone close by with a 2.4ghz protable phone, or running a microwave it can cause problems.

An internet connection that works off and on points to connectivity problems (wireless, switch, router, modem, cable/phone lines), not software problems. Games don't use memory unless they're running, they use storage space. Memory (RAM) and storage space (hard drive) are completely different, and neither would cause internet connection problems.

Someone else suggested unplugging and replugging your router/modem to see if it fixes the problem, which is the proper step to take. If that doesn't work, and if you're using an ethernet cable (not wireless), check the cable ends for bare or broken wires, loose ends, etc..
