He defiantly likes you, if his buddy told you that he doesn't wanna ruin a friendship well he doesn't because he likes the way you two are now and doesn't want that to change if you ever break up. He's talking to other girls and hanging around with them because he doesn't know that you like him!! if your going to the movies and he isn't very flirty it's because he's nervous and he's not sure if you like him!... Your showing mixed feelings and it can be confusing for guys so sometimes they don't really bother. But he defiantly likes you, you just gotta show him that you like him to be flirty! and eventually come out to him that you like him
