Well on the homepage when a group comes up you can click the little x beside it and stop them from coming up.

You can also go into privacy settings
( Account > Privacy Settings. ) Then look for the bit that says " Bio and favourite quotations" Click where it says "friends only" across from that ( it might say something else for you but its a box opposite it ) then click cutomise and you can choose "only me" for who sees it Smile
