However, hate is generally considered to be a negative and immature emotion. My fiance is a professional opera singer who happened to witness a rehearsal by the Jonas Brothers while attending an audition in the same building. Although she doesn't care much for their songs, she does recognize that they are talented guys and technically proficient (they can actually sing).
Mature people recognize talent even if they don't like the artist enough to buy their music.
