How to tell if someone ignored my facebook friend request?

I recently came across someone that i haven't been able to forget for years and i sent her a friend request on facebook because i saw something on my cousins fb page from her. But i was wondering just in case she ignores my request how can i tell? I don't wanna be left wondering because i really wanna talk to her if i can but at the same time i don't wanna kept waiting only to find out she ignored the request.
P.S if anyone reads this and wondered, i know it is her i didn't just take a guess i cannot forget her face xD so please answer as soon as possible, possibley before she has time to check her fb if possible thank you!
