A girl doesn't text me? What do I do?

I often forget sometimes if whether or not I read it or not or replied. I never meant anything on purpose though.
I've had this happen with guys before but I don't message them a second time because I feel like I am annoying them. If anyone ever wants to talk to me then they message me first. If they really wanted to talk with me that bad they would. That's why I gave up. And sometimes I hoped that they would message me first because I liked them or something.
They may even just hate the fact that they have to message you back. It does happen.
But maybe when you're in school ask her if she ever got your message you sent her. All it may take is to simply confront her about it (in the nicest way possible..?)
