Answer to paragraph 1:

domain name is the http://www.YOURWEBSITE.com and they then save that on their server therefore once it is saved on their server they can charge you for the domain. so no they dont buy it off a supplier and then sell it to you they create the actual domain and reserve it on the internet for you.

Answer to Paragraph 2:
If for example you go to http://www.yourwebsite.com when you search for that on godaddy.com they would say this website is taken but if it is yours use our transfer service and then they can transfer it from one.com over to godaddy.com so thats how you get around paying increases. BUT what you also have to remember is what they charge you at renewal would always be their standard prices for every customer, they cant charge you 50quid or 50dollars and then charge someone else for the same webspace on 5 pounds or 5dollars. they have set prices and they dont increase depending on popularity of your website or anything they are just set standard prices for everyone.

Answer to Paragraph 3: once you have purchased your domain (for exmaple through one.com) they have an administration area on their website, you then log into there they would give you your details upon payment and you would have a section there where you upload your website files. in order to create them you either need a program like dreamweaver or frontpage, and you can create websites in them but they do require knowledge (so you may have to have tutorials on how to use them) or you can use notepad or word and type the programming code for example html or java.
but if you dont know this language you should use dreamweaver or frontpage, but depending on what you want your website to do you may still be required to have some programming knowledge.
