Open your digital image inside your chosen photo editing program.

Make any changes to your desired image -- cropping, color change and the like -- to your image, then save the image to your hard drive, desk top or removable disk in a .jpg, .gif or .png file format.

Log into your Twitter account and click "Settings."

Choose "Profile" then "Change Image."

Click the "Choose File" button, then navigate to where you saved your image in Step 2.

Click "Save" to upload and save your new Twitter icon.
