How do you send direct messages on Twitter?

Here's how.
Write "@the person's username" without the quotes. then push the space bar, and then write your message.

Example (Not my real twitter name)

@VistaHacker Hey there!

Remember to put in the space between the username and the message, and don't forget the @ with no space between the username and the @.
