How do I get this girl back as a friend?

You stabbed her in the back, she can take as much time as she likes to forgive you and if you can't handle that then you don't really want to be her friend. You merely want her to forgive you and be kind to you so you don't have to feel so bad about yourself for betraying her and talking smack about her.

Don't try to blame what you did on stress or family problems. You were upset with her for some reason and you did a very hurtful, mean thing to her. You knew it was wrong and you did it anyway. People make mistakes, you get to make them too. The only thing you can do is tell her that you're sorry for doing such a rotten thing to her, you knew it was wrong and you really, really wish you hadn't done that to her. Let her know that she never deserved to be treated like that and you are a jerk for doing that to her. Also acknowledge that you know that just because you regret what you did and want to fix the damage you have done to your friendship with her, she isn't obligated to forgive you. She is the only one who can decide whether or not to forgive you or accept you as a friend and you need to let her take her time and make that decision at her own pace.

You did something really nasty to her, you have no right to demand or expect anything from her. I hope you'll remember this and do something different next time you are upset with one of your friends.
