Ive had crushes/infatuations on many different people over the years, and am currently suffering through another one! I know exactly what you are going through - i used to spend ages trawling through newspapers, hoping for a story/photo about whoever i had a crush on at that time, and if i found one, i would get a hot flush and a terrible feeling in the stomach. Another depressing effect of having a crush on someone is that it tends to make you feel your own life is inadequate, and boring. Fantasising about the person is also one of the main symptoms of a crush, and being insanely jealous of people who are in that person's life. Many people will say its abnormal and you should get a life, but crushes are perfectly normal, and anyone who doesnt get them must be odd - they are *part* of life.
One good thing about society now is that its easier to `contact' any celeb you have a crush on, via Twitter, as most are on there. Unless they follow you, you cant send them a direct message, but you can `reply' which is the same thing (except everyone will see it), which would be enough to make many people happy. The main thing to remember (i always keep repeating this to myself every time i get a crush) is that it will wear off. They always do, and you end up wondering what you saw in them in the first place - that might seem impossible now, but its true! In a few months/a year, you will probably have a crush on someone else, and will be thinking back and laughing about this. As long as you always remember, it is just a crush/infatuation and dont go round telling everyone youre in love. It WILL wear off. Ads |
