Well, I think that so many people started watching his videos and so many people were talking about him, eventually scouts and record labels looked him up out of curiosity. It's happened with many celebrities. I had first heard of him in 2006 because all my friends were watching him on youtube (i was in 6th grade) and now it's 2010 and he's famous! haha.
