It sounds like she could be into you, or maybe she just really likes you as a friend. It can be hard to tell because all girls work a bit differently. but i know how they work in general and i'd say go for it. but dont tell her you like her right away, start hanging out with her more often first, outside of school. and i wouldnt say you have to wait until summer to do that. a movie is a good slow start. and I think you totally should do something for her birthday. that would definatly put you in good standing!
