Based on the phrasing of your question, I'm guessing that you haven't been at this for very long.

Getting into the top 10 for a keyword depends on a number of variables--the keyword, competition for the keyword, that nature of the existing top 10, etc.

Generally speaking, it's all about good on-site SEO combined with smart pursuit of inbound links to your site.

It is possible, with the right effort and plan, but it isn't a simple matter of adding "keywords" to your site. They need to be the right ones and used properly.
