What is the point of deactivating facebook?

I would like you to know there are many many reasons why people deactivate their Facebook accounts.... I can go on all day long to list them out.... A few of them is if they are serious students and they have an upcoming exam they won't be tempted to check if their mates messaged them or if they got friend requests etc etc cause they can't receive friend requests or messages cause their facebook is not active.
