You can try, but I don't think you'll get any TANF. You get more for child support than it would pay you, since you are not supporting yourself without a husband. You probably would qualify for food stamps, though. Just make sure you can prove you are a completely separate household than your parents. And who knows? They may be able to find something for one of you to work at.

Have you tried the temporary services like ADIA and others? They don't just do secretarial, they do warehouse, grocery clerks, etc. Best of luck!
