If Jesus is the Messiah in Islam, why is Muhammad more important?

Abraham was a Muslim. He disassociated himself from idolatry and submitted himself to the one who created him, the Supreme.

Jesus was a Muslim. Those who followed his teachings were Muslims. To those Muslims, the creed of belief would be something like "There is no God but Allah and Jesus is His Messenger."

Muhammad was the final messenger of Allah, sent to all humans and jinn. He was a Muslim, his followers are called Muslims, and to us the creed is "There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is His Messenger."
