is internet download manager legal by law?

The legalities to download a copy of a file depends on "licensing". If it is not offered free by public notice saying it is, then it is not legal.

"How" you download it does not matter. IT is simply by downloading in which you are making a copy that is not legal. So it is the act of copying from the server to your computer that you are breaking the law.

Remember, when you buy software you are not. You are actually purchasing "the right" to use a copy as outlined in the user agreement. I know, no one reads those, but we all sorta know in the back of our minds it is wrong.

The issue is not if you will get caught but when will you get caught. So please reconsider before downloading anything in this nature. Your download manager is just fine and makes downloads more convenient but keep your focus on 'what' you are downloading. Is it legal or now, is it a virus or not, etc.
