If your company is PrimeAmerica you have permission to contact me in July when I'll be ready to start investing again!
The internet is a good place to market ideas, but it takes a few steps to create a space in which to discuss actual products. If you are looking for social sites to get connected to people who are looking to invest, sign up for Bill McIntosh's Social Dominator blog. He started on May 16, and is taking subscribers -- at no charge -- through the process of getting his blog crawled and ranked by search engines. If you follow his example, start a blog and post general information about investing two or three times a week, and join all the sites Bill has, you'll start to get visitors. (You need to create profiles at each of those sites. You can say that you are an investment counselor but do not mention your company. You might write about three misconceptions average Americans have about investing or the stock market. Don't mention your company or service. Do invite them to your blog to read about some other intriguing aspect of investing). Interested visitors will go to your blog and read and understand your message. You need to have an open blog, of course, so they can join. That way you capture their email addresses and can contact them later. You can also create groups within many social sites. You might name yours Become Financially Secure. You would be the moderator and set the subject. You could have a question day and promise answers within 24 hours... If you are looking for face-to-face opportunities with an audience, I would contact local churches and ask for permission to give a free seminar on a single subject like debt collection. Perhaps they would let you use a Sunday School room on choir practice night. Hope this helps. |
