I've no inspiration to write about...?

Lately, I've had a strong burning desire to write some more as I used to, but have had horrible writers block... You see, I want to work on a novel, one I may eventually publish, but I am just unable to come up with anything worth writing.

Recently I was writing this one about getting caught up in success and allowing life to pass you by, but I decided that I wasn't really to into it and now I have to start back from scratch. I want to write something centered in this world, a realistic fiction type thing (nothing supernatural) I also want it to be centered around some issues in today's society, but I'm not interested in people's rights (be it gays or females or anything), drugs, sex or porn, celebrity culture, terrorism, social media, beauty ideals, or things like this... I just can't get into it, ya know? Please leave suggestions of current issues I could possibly write a realistic fiction novel about (something a lot like the outsiders by S E Hinton) thank you!

I suggest you write about something that people don't usually go into. But honestly, you won't get inspiration just by asking for it here. Try watching how issues these days effect the people around you, and I'm sure you'll come up with something.
