Facebook--Can't click on some profile avatars?

I'm not registered on Facebook but was perusing a profile for a movie and wanted to click on a friend box/avatar. However, the name of the friend was not highlighted like links usually are; it was just black text. Additionally, when I Googled the friend's name plus "Facebook", I didn't get any result. Does this mean that that person does not have a profile on Facebook and posted their image as a guest or have they set their profile to be viewed only by Facebook members? Thanks.

yes you can set your profile so that only facebook members can see it or you can set it to only some people can see it. This person might have deleted their account.

there's option to remove profile in public search engine.may be that's why you can't get any result from google.it doesn't mean that he hasn't facebook account.
you should be a member to view profile.when you find someone & click on profile they ask to register on facebook.
