my bf is being distant?

My bf is in the marines and he goes on deployment this Friday, for 8months he has been acting distant all week he made my picture his profile picture on facebook and he talks to me but not as much. He saw his family for the last time over the weekend and I asked him how he was feeling and he said "idk". What does it mean when a man acts this way?

I agree with the other person. Your boyfriend is a very brave man who is about to give his life for his country. He's probably nervous, which is perfectly normal. I'm sure he loves you, he just has a lot on his mind right now.

Well he is probably feeling many things right now, most of which as people not going into the military we will never understand. The best thing for you and for him is to tell him how you feel about him (only the good things), give him a great deal of affection, and tell him you will be there waiting for him when he comes back (then don't break that promise!).
