someone called me and said he wanted to investigated something because he thinks i hacked facebook. he said he is a sergeant but most probably he is a fake. i gave my phone number to one of my friend who now is an enemy because he know i hacked his account. so could it be him ? i mean could someone call himself a sergeant and investigate ?

Yeah he could but more likely bes just trying to scare u. If he really is military or law enforcement hes required to identify himself as so. If he calls again right down any information like date time what was said and report it to ur phone provider or police. They can track the person down

It's a prank call. Ignore it and hang up if they call again. If a police sergeant was investigating you, they wouldn't call. They would come to your home and either ask you questions there or tell you to come with him to the station for formal questioning

'could someone call himself a sergeant and investigate?'

seriously?

i'm a sergent, i'm investigating a facebook hack you done.

there, i called myself a 'sergent' and said the same thing.

of course anyone could say it. be more careful next time, if your not familiar with online security and logging, dont try to hack or mess about with people or anything online. because your computer has a unique IP address, this IP address would have been logged on Facebooks servers when you 'hacked' into the account, the police can get this IP address from facebook, get a court order and your ISP gives them your name and address.

Understand if it involves Law Enforcement, they will come to your home and take your computer. They don't call some one and tell them what you have claimed.
