Vendetta & Anonymous?
My profile picture shows the Vendetta mask, A.K.A Anonymous.
People on Twitter like @AnonUK use the Vendetta mask, but why? Ads |

it's an easily recognizable image that is synonymous with rebellion against oppression.
That, and of course, the internet loves memes. Ads |

Its a Guy Faulks mask, from the film yes. The rebellion scene was a sort of analogy of what the populous of anonymous stands for. A singular person might not make a difference, but a horde will. A collective of ideals opposed to the ideas of the few. There are no leaders, only follow what you believe.

Its a culturally relavent symbol that allows anonymous equality. Its a symbol that people recognise and attach to a certain set of ideas and ideals. The symbol doesn't really matter, any number of other images could have evolved in its place.
