Is the 'missing white woman syndrome' a reflection of society's attitude towards men & minorities?

The "missing white woman syndrome" is a social phenomenon, which makes the observation that when a beautiful, young, white female comes to harm, people are more likely to feel sympathy, pay attention, and/or help than when the person coming to harm is ugly, old, not white, or male.

Yes it is. lol I posted that a while ago. Thats the truth. Some girl went missing around her at a mall. She is national news. People were freaking out, and its still a very sensitive topic. So yes its true. Look at Natalie Holloway who went over seas danced on top of bar and got sloppy drunk and went missing. People go crazy everytime a good looking attractive white girl goes missing.

Yes, in two different ways. Women are thought to be the weaker sex, therefore people care more when one comes to harm. Conversely, the media still cares a lot more about white people than minorities. It is a sad fact of existence that is harmful towards both white women and men/minorities.

thats only in america. not in the rest of the world. what happens in one country doesn't impact the entire world. women are treated like trash in other countries.
