I have a crush on a guy a grade above me, I'm 6th grade he is 7th. (I know we're young but I'm careful, I just want to know if he likes me. Thanks) we have never talked but he always tries ti make eye contact. He is popular as cute but not a player. I'll always turn around and he'll be staring at me(not in a creepy way). He might like you, but there are other social pressures at play. He might be in the stage before it is cool to be friends with a girl in a relationship sort of way. He might not have much confidence when it comes to girls because it's a very different interaction strategy one must employ when talking to girls as opposed to boys.

Don't be afraid to make the first move and talk to him, but be careful not to seem too needy. You want to appear aloof, like you might like him but that you could always trade off to someone else. If possible find a time and location where you can talk to him without other guys around or other social pressures.

At this stage a lot of guys get double pressure from their friends to both be getting girls, and to not be too dependent on any girl. Take your time though. I realize it feels like there is a lot of pressure to fall in love with a guy or to find someone that you like in that way. You have a lot of time to wade into the water. Good luck.

Being in a different grade shouldn't matter as if you like someone, then you like them, simple as. It sounds to me like he may like you but I don't want to build your hopes up. If he tries to show off in front of you then maybe he does like you. I feel the best thing to do is maybe approach him and just talk to him and see what he's like around you. If your worried something might happen and you don't want to approach him then maybe message him via text or facebook? Hope this helps.
