How to get photography noticed?
I'm a young aspiring photographer and no matter what I do, I can't get my photography noticed.

Here it is- http://instagram.com/sam_elaine_fulk

Just add filters and touch up images on photo editing software

An "aspiring photogrpaher" with an endless page of typical teen selfies on Instagram. It would be funny if not so pathetic.

How about taking a look at what REAL photography is. Obviously, you currently have no clue:

By the way, I am NOT Steve McCurry.

For a start you will have to take better photos. Some are reasonably good but the majority are snapshots. Do you only ever photograph the same model (you?)
Get out and about and take more ambitious photos.
More landscapes, old buildings, animals, nature, close ups.
Try to inject a bit more originality into them; better composition and use of light.

What have you done to get them noticed?
Posting them on instagram with several million other snappers doe not constitute "no matter what I do"

Take better pictures & not endless shots of yourself. Exposure, composition & lighting all need working on.

The simple answer is to take pictures that awe people.

Ignore all the haters. They're probably in a bad mood because they can't get their pictures recognized as much as they like. It's on ongoing problem for most photographers. Only a very small percentage of elite photographers get the recognition they seek. But don't get discouraged. The journey is part of the excitement.

Now, about pictures that awe people. First is subject. You have to take pictures of an interesting subject that capture a moment in a way that makes people stop and look. To do this, you also need to be able to take a technically perfect shot. That means knowing your camera and its settings and working the lighting and composition to perfection. You're just starting out. So you're going to make a lot of mistakes. But that's okay. Every mistake is a learning opportunity. Use them. Also read up on photographic techniques and experiment with them.

One other hint: you have lots of pictures on your web page. It's too many. Post only your best shots. Avoid too many of one kind. Never post a shot with a technical flaw. If you post endless numbers of similar and mediocre selfies, people are going to walk by pretty quickly. It's too much work and they lose hope of finding a diamond in the rough. As you get better, rotate out shots that aren't as good as your growing skills can produce. A single page is plenty for people to get an idea of your skills and range.

A good photographer is also good at marketing herself. It has nothing to do with the photography part. But that's how people learn about your stuff. However, you've got to have something good to show.

Notice that I did not make any mention about the type of camera that you should own. That's because the things that make an awesome photograph all come from you. The camera is just a paint brush. An accomplished photographer can get an award-winning photo from a 5 megapixel camera. An unskilled shooter will get garbage from a $5000 camera.
