Why are my instagram comments not appearing?

Whenever I try to comment on any picture, when I click "comment" my comment pops up for a split second like it's commenting, but then it disappears. This happens frequently. I've friend reinstalling insta, restarting my iPod, closing insta, refreshing, everything. And nothing seems to work. It's not because I'm blocked from the users I'm trying to comment on, because I can't even comment on my own. And it's not because my iPod is too old, because I have the latest model iPod touch. I got it for Christmas. And my instagram is up to date. What is wrong?? The problem is off and on all the time, but I want it to stop completely!

I know you power your iPod down already but power it down again. Hold the lock screen and home button at the same time for 5 seconds when turning the iPod on again. It should work then.
