Has anyone closed their Facebook account vecause of Timeline?

I closed my FB account last night as I refuse to accept Timeline.

I'm debating whether or not to. I absolutely loathe how they've forced it onto people. Unfortunately, it is the only way I can communicate with some of my friends and family because they're too lazy to see me face-to-face or they change phone numbers like underwear. I might keep my page solely for that reason.

I use Facebook only to communicate with friends and sometimes look at their silly pics. I couldn't care less about timeline.
