How do I become an activist?

I want to become an activist for animal rights, politics, religion, racial profiling and a few other things. I have no car and little money to go to local places. I want to make a difference in the world. Are there ways to become a voluntary activist within my own city?

Start out by finding a non profit group and learn how to raise money. There probably is a local animal shelter near you and they could put you in touch with the nearest no kill shelter. Good Luck.

You can always start out by being an activist on Facebook. I know it doesn't sound like much for now but there's a lot of people on Facebook or activists for many different reasons, check it out.
