Can my S4 get a virus from the Internet?
I have a Galaxy s4. I downloaded an anti virus app which seems to be working, but it seems like it only protects apps I download from the app store and uses a bunch of different ways to do so. But I noticed it doesn't say much about the internet. I searched and it doesn't seem like anyone has ever got a smart phone virus from the internet browser on their phone, only by downloading other apps. Can smart phones not get viruses from browsing the web? If yes, how can I protect my self?

2 and a half years using Android browse internet freely, install any app even most of them not from Android market, root my phone, install custom rom, make any tweak and modification;

....It Never Been Infected By Any Virus......
most problems on smartphone in any Operating System are;
1. system conflictions; error executing commands, multiple inputs in almost the same time, etc which usually a reset would solve the problems.
2. corrupted system or system apps; usually caused by ending any app process while it was collecting and processing data from resource which sometimes result to "force close" issue, app or system not responding, hang/freeze, etc. a reset may solve the problem but depend on the corruption level, if the reset don't work, it can only be solved through reflashing the firmware.

How to avoid the above issues?:
1. don't use ur phone aggressively; u touch this and that fast without waiting the process done well/finished. it may lead to the second problem as described above. just use it gently.
2. if any app system or third party app acting weird, you can clear it's data from application setting. if the problem remain still, you can uninstall the app(third party app only since system app can only be uninstalled on a rooted phone)
3. if ur phone stars freezed/hung, restart ur phone manually like pulling out battery. if the problems still occur, u need to reset ur phone then. Search on google about reset code or combo for galaxy s4.
3. don't perform too many multitasking; at least 5 app at maximum.
4. regularly clear your apps' cache(any app which uses connection like facebook, browser, map, playstore, etc) as it may slow down ur phone. once a week or every two weeks.
