Should I add him on Facebook?

I'm in my freshman year at university and there is this boy in year 2 that i really like. We're both in the same program just he's a year ahead and our classes are mostly in the same area so i always see him. At the beginning of the semester we always exchanged glances and stuff like that. One time he accidentally threw me down but he saved me. He's really good looking and most people in my class added him on facebook (they arent close to him) i really want to add him but idk if that will be weird since we never actually introduced ourselves to each other like idk if he even knows my name.
On New Years i saw him at a party and he hugged and kissed me nothing serious just friendly however in school he never talks to me only once he told me he liked my drawings and he said he liked this badge i had on my bag but like when i see him in the hallways he would stare at me and then look away so idk. One time he looked away when i told him hi. Idk if he's shy or something add him or no???
