What's app not working on mobile data(bsnl) but is working on wifi?

What's app was not able to verify my phone no while i was using the mobile data but once I switched on to wifi my number got verified.later I found that I was not able to send or recieve msgs using Mobile data when i Called the customer care he told me that the connection is good and nothing is wrong with the connection.I am able to access the web, Facebook and everything except what's app using the mobile data. Is it the phone which is having the problem or the bsnl network. Please provide me with a solution

If you have active internet plan on your phone just go setting of whats app set access point properly instead of wifi.
