Do I have to update my Facebook page?
Okay, so; On Facebook.com, I have a page that I adim/manage, through my personal profile. As any page owner or co-owner would know; You can "Switch" to the page, normally. For some reason, it will not show the "Switch" button. It says nothing but "Update" or "Preview". I don't have any interest, whatsoever, in the new Facebook page. Just my own opinion. I prefer the original I began using Facebook with a good while back. My page can be edited through my profile, but I can't get the full use of switching to my page and checking the updates, posting stuff/news/updates, or anything else. If anyone knows how I can get it to allow me to switch to my profile and stop saying "Preview" (for the new update of the Facebook page), it would mean a lot. Thanks!
I should also say, after a week of this going on, I did finally click on "Preview", and I looked through the updated Facebook pages, and read every word on the previewing page. I didn't update though, and I don't plan to anytime soon. If my mind changes, I'll look into it. I really hope they're not turning into MySpace & YouTube, and forcing their updates on the users that are making their sites so popular, without even giving a choice. That would be an F for the day, on their part. Thanks, and all answers that will help me out, are appreciated! (: Uhm.. I never had a choice. "Yes, you can." Okay, cool.. So would you please explain how? I know it does state "once you have updated your page, you cannot switch back to the old page" or whatever, along those lines and meaning.. So I figured, there must be some way to do so. Otherwise, wouldn't they just automatically change every page? .. Ads |

If you talking about the new layout...you won't have a choice this month. I think it was, March 11?...yeah that ALL pages will update to the new layout. Without you having a choice!
Edit: No, really you wont have a choice. They WILL change ALL pages THIS month. I quote from the site: "Facebook pages are getting an updated layout and several new features to help you engage with your fans. Preview your pages and you'll be given the option to upgrade early. All pages will automatically be upgraded on March 10." Just go to facebook.com/pages/status if you don't believe me. Ads |
