#BreakingNews confirming @justinbieber has been arrested for DUI & Drag Racing.


Or it is supposed to be ''#BreakingNews is confirming....

He was only arrested for the DUI and resisting arrest, not drag racing I believe.

This is obviously a tweet, so the normal rules don't apply.

The hashtag (#xxxx) is typically used to categorize the tweet that follows. Sometimes it is used as part of the sentence (or cleverly worked in), but not always. The hashtag can add context to the message and make it easier for users to search on a particular topic.

The term "breaking news" is used to describe a very recent news item. In television news, it often is used to tell the audience that the following news has just happened.

Again, on Twitter, you'll often see the rules of grammar, punctuation, abbreviation, etc. broken because of the short message space.
