blogging please help?

So, I am no longer a networker, but I need to vent. I know about facebook and, myspace, and twitter ( after all i am only 21 and was 16 when I had my myspace) whats the most popular blogging site? Thanks

The sites you've mentioned are social-networking sites with blogging capabilities. The focus is on connecting with other profiles and incorporating various other features. Twitter is a non-traditional micro-blogging service.

As for popular blogging services (free and developer-hosted)...

Wordpress (i.e. the http://wordpress.com version - which also has multi-user features).

All of the above (except wordpress.org) are free developer-hosted services. Similar services are Vox (http://www.tumblr.com/ ).

With that said, you do have the option of creating a self-hosted/stand-alone blog where more of the site will be controlled by you. You would likely need money - $10 to $160 - to pay for a web host and/or domain name (prices vary regarding time range and offered features). You may need to purchase blogging software as well. There are some services that are all-inclusive - web hosting, domain name, blogging software in one package.
