Your teacher does not want a real answer.
Republican would proclaim and establish an aristocracy and allow only them to vote.
Democrats would establish a true " 1984"police state, and allow only their supporters any voice at all in government.

Both betray the founding fathers, and the nation is in vast need of some group who will refresh the tree of Liberty, as Mr. Jefferson stated.

in what I have seen and of course on the big scale that would not be much, but there is no doubt pretty much all people have no problem helping people when they are down...the difference in what I have seen is the right has little interest in helping someone who is physically and mentally able to get out and work, the left don't seem to care but just seem ok with handing out tax paper money with pretty much no expectations

Republican view - Nothing should get in the way of the market, the market is God and Government is always bad.

Democratic view - We should promote the General Welfere.

Being cynical about politics in general, I no longer vote. To me, the Democrats want bigger government, more tax money for more social welfare & programs. The Republicans want smaller government, less social welfare and big tax breaks for the corporations & wealthy.
To me it looks like either the poor robbing the rich, or the rich robbing the poor!!!...lol

No more aide to illegals - is what Republicans are advocating.
(I agree with them, we have been too generous)

Give it all away, it's not our money, we can raise our salaries - this
is how the Democrats advocate.
(I totally disagree with them, they don't care)
