What does ex friend want from me?

I had a best friend when we were together at school and college then when we left college we went our own seperate ways and lost contact. Whenever we would arrange to meet up she would always let me down at the last minute by sending a short txt not even apologising but saying something like "can't make tonight now I'm ill" then I would see on Facebook she had gone out with her new friends. So after this kept happening I didn't bother her anymore.
I haven't seen her in over 3 years, she's getting married next year and has two children now. All of a sudden she keeps facebooking me and asking me loads of questions about my life. If I put any news in statuses on Facebook she never openly comments on my wall but will private message me straight away! It's really annoying and I'm ignoring her now.
Why has this old friend who treated me so bad now started sucking up to me and being so nosey?
Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

Drop her as a best friend. Develop new friends. She's just using you. It'll get more annoying .

I think she's trying to be mature and make up with people she didn't treat well before. Like a mid life crisis. She's not using you, she's being nice.
