How will todays social media change the Olympics?

We have already seen Olympic athletes DQed over tweets. Will similar situations become more similar and will the Olympics change accordingly. Just curious.

The only change that I can see that is immediate is that the "advertisers" will make the most profit having phenomenal media access for product placement.

Good God, they stand to make 100s of millions of dollars.

While the public will probably get bombarded with 17 days of strategically annoying ads.
