iPad 2 faster than iPad Air!?

Why is my iPad 2 almost twice as fast as iPad Air in downloading apps from app store!
I want to mention that I use the exact same WIFI on both
The problem was that I was downloading same app on both devices simultaneously with same Apple ID.
For some reason iPad 2 caused iPad Air to slow down. When I installed apps separately the iPad Air was faster! Thanks for your answers

That you use wifi in ipad2 but use slow sifi in ipad air..

The configuration of iPad Air is faster than iPad 2 obviously. So it is quite possible that you use a faster WIFI on iPad 2 than on iPad Air when downloading app from app store.

To test it, you should connect the iPad 2 and iPad Air to Interent with the same WIFI.

The apps for the iPad 2 are probably smaller, since it had less processing power and screen resolution.

Since download speeds are based on Internet bandwidth, the smaller apps will download faster.

It is quite possible that your IPad Air had more apps running in the back ground causing it to slow down.
Also, we're you downloading the SAME app on both iPads at the same time? Some apps take longer to download, no matter the device or Wifi. ( Example: A 3D gaming app is going to take longer than the Facebook app.)
