You can understand poke at facebook as to say “hey, you! wutsup”, but some people have wrong understanding that poke at facebook is symbol of disturbing. Following are the correct meanings of poking at facebook.

1.A “poke” is basically someone trying to get your attentionIt’s one of the meaningless features that are used just to annoy someone.
2.If you poke someone not in your network and they poke back. You can view their profile even if your not their friend!
3.A poke is when you allow someone to see your facebook page for 3 days, so they can know who you are and hopefully add you as a friend.

Through poking someone on fb, you include sent the individual a reminder which you have thought ones. It may act as hello. When you were sent a poke in Facebook, they obtain a message on their timeline that he/she has been poked. It communicates a connection, actually when you've got absolutely nothing to mention. To 'Poke' someone, go to their profile and press Poke link, usually located under profile picture. Confirm the same. Recipient know that he is poked through his notifications.
