How do I get likes on my photography page?
Please can someone suggest an idea to help me to get fans on my facebook photography page: https://www.facebook.com/benatkinsonphotography I would really appreciate people to like, and comment on my work, because at the moment I have practically 0 likes...

Thanks in advanced!

Mention your Facebook page in your signature in posts to other places.
Of course, posting on Facebook means that people like me will never see them because we gave up on the tediousness of Facebook last year or the year before.

Good grief almighty... you have THREE rather average photos and act like you cannot understand why you don't have "likes"? There has to BE SOMETHING THERE for people to like it.

Also, if you want to be taken seriously, don't make Facebook your "photography site". There are millions of clueless snap shooters with "photography sites" on Facebook. Lots of "likes" are typically just other clueless friends who do not know a good photograph from a hole in their head.

Get some quality work together and create a REAL website instead of being just another Facebook fauxtographer.

Get 1 client.
Serve them.

Get 2 more clients, from that one client.
Serve them.

4 more. 8 more. 16 more. 32. 64. 128. 256... 2,000.

Don't try to game the system, just try to help & make experiences.

Gary Vaynerchuk gives a similar lesson to CNN, in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNM9kA1bSHk

Everyone's just thinking about themselves... Try to provide something new & serve.

Serve your clients.
Serve your fans.
Then serve yourself.

Good luck!

Take better pictures - I see just mediocre shots in your photo ablum - nothing grabs me.

For heavens sake, it even says on your welcome page that it's an 'average photography page'.

Facebook is not the best place to display your work - it mangles quality on upload.

Questions like yours attract the 'tough love'...

Photography is an interest...it's something that YOU should enjoy...you should enjoy the photographs that you create...if someone else enjoys them then that's a bonus...it's not something that you should be out canvassing support for.

Are you more interested in being popular...or learning how to make great images..?

Take on board what everyone is saying. Look at your Facebook page, you only have three photos on your page. Some people are saying they're average, so try to post more images, and more variety. Try portraits and show your creativity - if you prefer to be a landscape photographer, then so be it, but take more photos. Experiment with slow shutter speeds on a tripod, that can change a photo dramatically.

About sharing your page. Tell people about it after you've updated your page. If people seem images of interest, they will keep following your page, and it might pick up from there. Join Flickr to post your photos and get feedback. On there , put links to your page and email. As you get more popular, your page will. It'll take time and work.
