Please Critique My Horse's Conformation?
I love my horse, but I want to know what you guys think about her conformation.
Breed: American Paint Horse Height: 15.3hh Gender: Mare Age: 11 I know these pictures are horrible for critiquing conformation, but these are what I have. I have a pasture shot and tied shot of the first three. You are right, those are NOT conformation shots , but I will tell you what I think I saw...
The good: She has a beautiful head and face! She has a nice long, sloping shoulder. She has good withers to hold a saddle. She has good bone, and straight legs, with good angles on hooves and pasterns. Her hocks are set nice and low. The not so good: In these pictures, her back looks really long. A long back is weaker, and makes it hard for a horse to collect. (My horse has a long back too) Her hip and loin look weak. Her neck is set low. I would like to see her with more weight and muscle. She is really pretty, and looks happy and healthy! Ads |

She is beautiful. Has a great shoulder, and a long back. Hard to tell much about her legs. She reminds me of my paint mare she is solid, too!
