You can tell if someone else has been using your account by reviewing your Recent Sign In Activity page. Look for unfamiliar IP addresses and log in locations. These will indicate that someone else has been accessing your account.

Check who has recently accessed your account -- http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=cont...sions=true

If your account has indeed been hacked, immediately change your password and secret questions. If you have not already done so, please add your mobile phone number for the safest way to reset your password or to receive alerts of suspicious activity.

Select Yahoo Account
Under Topic, select Suspicious activity

Under Recommended options, click Email

It may be best to close this Yahoo account and start fresh with a new one.

Information, links and instructions on how to delete your account can be found here:

Please read carefully and print or save any important messages or contact information before deleting your account. Be sure to update your Facebook, twitter, instagram, online gaming and any other sites that you have registered with this Yahoo ID and also remember to inform your contacts about your change of email address.

To save and protect the content in your account, please consider saving all important information, messages and contact information to your personal computer files as a text document (using an application such as Wordpad, Microsoft Word, Oracle Open Office Writer etc.) or printing your important messages and contact list so you can keep the document in a safe place.
