I have a new patented product, which there is nothing like it?
So as I list this item on like Ebay, or online sale sites.. Not many people are buying because theres nothing like it to compare to, or nothing like it at all on market. How do I get the word out and make sales jump up a little bit. Anyone that has bought it, loves it but Not many people are buying?
I didn't explain what it is on yahoo answers because this is not a site to advertise on, and not the sites you can sell on. When people see it on these online sale sites ie.. Ebay.com then they see the product, the pictures, how to use, where to use and how many styles there is. I didn't think I would have to promote my product in a question on yahoo???

Its pretty simple to understand why . You say there is nothing like it , nothing to compare it to, nothing like it on market, Everyone who bought it loves it yet you won't mention what it is . No wonder no one wants it . Perhaps if you tell the World what it is , you may have customers for it .
Why would anyone give money without knowing what they are buying ?

Going to a professional marketer would probably be the easiest and fastest option for you, especially because it seems that at this point you just need to get your products out there. But there are a couple of projects you can take on yourself if you don't want to go that way:

- Make sure you're branding your product correctly! A professional logo, business cards/flyers and ESPECIALLY a website are incredibly important to get your product noticed.

- The internet is such a major resource nowadays and if your product doesn't have its own website than many people won't take it seriously. Domain sites like Godaddy.com have very affordable domain names (custom domain names are also key to looking professional) and hosting sites (such as the free Weebly.com) help you get your website up and running without too much hassle.

- Network. As they say, it isn't what you know, but who you know, and that applies here as well. Go to entrepreneur and business owners' meetings, talk to people, and hand out business cards. You never know who will take to your product! And professionals that are just starting out tend to have lower prices, so if you chose to hire a marketer these conventions are great places to meet them. And TALK ABOUT YOUR PRODUCT! It's patented so you don't have to worry so much about others trying to steal your idea, and you want people to know why it's so great and unique.

- Social media is another huge part of today's world. Create a Facebook and/or a Twitter page for your product and be sure to update it regularly. Coupon codes and other promotions are a great incentive to like your page, and the more 'likes' you receive the more likely others are to purchase your product.

- Lastly, advertise! Optimize your website to appear at the top of the first page of search engines, and consider services such as Google and Facebook Ads. The number of people that click on these ads would surprise you, and it can be fairly cheap depending on what you're trying to sell.

I hope these tips have helped you get your foot in the door at the very least. I would also suggest that you read up on the subjects of marketing and advertising a bit. There are some fantastic books out there, and if you plan on doing everything yourself than being informed is fairly key. If you aren't willing to put a bunch of time and effort into doing it yourself though I would HIGHLY recommend that you hire a marketer, especially in the later stages of your business. It will save you so much time, hassle, and possibly also money in the long run.

Good luck! I'm rooting for you Smile

Just because you were granted a patent on an invention (assuming you were) doesn't mean anyone wants one, let alone everyone. Once your patent application was published (i.e., 18 months after your priority filing date), you would have been contacted by commercial suitors who wanted to purchase the rights to make, use, sell, or import the invention. If that didn't happen, you're on your own.

Saying things like "there is nothing like it" sort of gilds the lily since you claim it's "patented". You obviously cannot patent anything that has already been done by others.

Seek out your market and determine what channels they use for finding things like your product.
