My best friend and boyfriend talk a lot?

Okay my boyfriend and I have been dating for about a year and a half. My best friend (I'll call her Jenna) have been friends since about 9th grade. We're freshmen in college now, and my boyfriend is a junior in college.
So it started out with him texting her asking for a gift idea, if she had heard from me, etc. But then it turned into them having full out conversations, then conversations that I didn't know about. I'm not going to lie, one day I got self-conscious and checked his phone and saw they have conversations every other day or so, and half the time they talk about ME. When him and I went through a rough patch one time, he texted her asking for relationship advice. MY best friend! But she told me about it, and showed me all the messages that were sent (she gave me her phone to look).
And it still bothers me. He's given her rides to places, and I never knew, I found out months later. I told him I'm uncomfortable with it, but he's still talked her to. Just recently he's stopped, but now I feel bad, as if I'm being controlling.
And Jenna has a boyfriend, and I've NEVER talked to him. Ever. Not a single text message or phone call. I added him on Facebook with her permission. But it's like whatever I say doesn't matter. And Jenna and my boyfriend didn't know each other before me, at all. He was a coworker of mine, so I introduced him to her.
I don't know, am I being insecure or is it normal for me to feel on edge? Like I feel bad saying I'm uncomfortable with it, because it makes me look self conscious and controlling. Should I do anything?
And please don't just say dump him or anything, him and I are a serious thing and I'm willing to work on it.

What you should do is sit down and talk to your boyfriend. I believe that every girl would feel uncomfortable having their bf talking to her bestfriend. Tell him the truth that you feel unsecure. Its not right for him to be talking to your bestfriend the person thats being irresponsible is your "bestfriend" because first of all she would of told you after they begun having full convos and she would of stopped cause it makes you uncomfortable. Guys have a weak mind when it comes to girls.

Calm down, she's telling you about it so why worry....my best friends boyfriend is in my snap chat favorites and we text a lot but it's only because we are friends too. Sometimes he'll text me when he's with her and she doesn't mind...and trust me I don like him like that...we've had full convos about crap like school and just cracking jokes....& her also....nothing bad so chill....unless they're exchanging pics and talking trash about you which from what you say they aren't. Coming from a girl who sometimes talks to her best friends boyfriend more than her best friend I can tell you that you shouldn't worry lol
