how do you get 'places' to work on the facebook app?

i have a blackberry curve and i have the facebook app, but when i click on places, to share where about i am, it doest give me the option and just says 'your location is temporarily not available' but it lets me view my friends locations.... HELP?!

Not too sure about Blackberrys but it sounds like your problem is that your phone doesnt actually know where you are.
I know on Android you will get a better pinpoint on location if you turn on the gps.
Once your phone knows where you are try the facebook app again and if it locates you,you may have to create the place you are as no one else may have done it.
Just one word of warning if you do get it to work,dont check in at home.
Its very accurate and could pinpoint all sorts off unwanted people to your home address
